The Good News and the Bad News

If you saw Toledo on the weather channel or the news this week you may have heard that Wednesday this area had 6 inches of rain in less than half as many hours. The unending hours of lightening were unnerving and the local news showed cars floating in underpasses. You could wade up to your lower calves on the street out my front door! The bad news was that the high winds and rain caused our roof to leak, the lightening caused power surges that rendered our computer kaput and most of our neighbors with basements baled water for more hours than they cared to count! The good news is that the streets are passable once again, the basements are dry, as are my kitchen carpets, my husband fixed the computer and the flower beds look awesome! Hope the rest of you in the midwest fared alright too.
