You Can Be A Storyteller
When I tell people about my business and show them some of the samples of the books, they often tell me that they couldn't write a story like that. But when you actually sit down to write a story about your life or the life of someone you care about, it really is easy. The story tells itself. Your emotions and thoughts give it that special and unique touch. Narrating your life experiences and those of the people around you immortalize the events in a commemorative remembrance book. The first book I designed was about the sanctuary of sisterhood as observed in my daughters and others around me. Following is an excerpt of that story:
"There is a special and unspoken bond shared between sisters that is unique and inexplicable. For those who have had the experience of having a sister, they know this to be true. For those who haven't, it is one of life's little mysteries, like being left out of some secret club. And though life with a sister isn't always a picnic in the park, one thing is true. With a sister you know you always have someone on your side......."
I wrote about what it would be like for my girls to always have a sister and what I hoped their lives would be like together throughout the years. But your story can be as different and individual as you are. Some people like to simply document where and when each of their family pictures are from. Others like to use more pictures and less text. The beauty is that you design it yourself. You can be the "publisher" of your family's memories and help preserve the heritage that is your unique history.
Quote of the Day: "Our heritage and ideals, our code and standards - the things we live by and teach our children - are preserved or diminished by how freely we exchange ideas and feelings."-Walt Disney
